Has your kid's spring break already come and gone? Maybe it's time for a do-over. The Sheraton San Diego is offering a Spring Break/Family Adventure Package that’s good for the rest of 2011, and is loaded with family-magnet value-added incentives. The 1,000-room hotel is set on San Diego Bay, and has a marina with
watersports and three pools, including a separate kids’ pool. There's also a Wii game room, spa, basketball court and jogging trails. The package starts at $199 a night and includes:
- Room with balcony and view of city skyline or marina (worth up to $489)
- Your choice of either four trolley passes (worth $20) or four San Diego Zoo passes (worth $140)
- One in-room movie per night (worth about $15)
- Two-hour bicycle rentals for four (worth $56 )
- Free meals for kids under 12 (worth $20/day x 2 kids = $40/day)
Deal or no deal? Let's go to the zoo! When you compare the regular price of a room without a view ($159) to the package price, which guaranteeds a postcard-worthy view ($199), the package still wins out. Even if you skipped the zoo (but why would you?), it wouldn’t be hard to get $40 of value per day out of this deal—daily breakfast and a movie, plus one day of bike rentals would do it.
The offer runs though the end of the year, based on availability. There is no minimum stay. To book online, use promo code FAMFUN or mention the deal when calling 866/716-8134.
