This is indeed a good spot for exploring Chicago. I stayed here a few years ago and it was just right. Navy Pier and Magnificent Mile are withing easy walking distance, and it's just a few blocks from the El Station to the airport so I didn't need a car or taxi. Millennium Park, the Art Institute, etc. are also close by. Nice giveaway!
