The newly-renovated Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club, in the heart of the Old Naples shopping district, has a lot to offer families. For starters, there’s the beach: seven miles of pristine white sand that’s perfect for sandcastle-building and seashell-hunting. On the remainder of the resort's 125 acres, you'll find a new, $5-million pool complex, supervised kids' club, spa, championship golf course, and tennis courts.

The resort is having a sale through December 23, featuring  "Fall Value Rates" that promise big savings, along with the always-available complimentary parking and access to the kids' club and fitness club. When we test-booked the promo, we found rates $20 less than regular rates for all accommodation types.  For example, resort guest rooms (regularly $139 a night) are available for $119, which translates to a 15% savings.  A superior gulf view room can be had for $169 instead of $189 a night, or a savings of about 11%.

A four-night December weekend stay at the regular rate would run $556 ($139/night x 4 nights).  Choose the promo and your total spend rings in at $357 ($119/night x 3 nights).   That's a whopping 36% savings.
