If a lovely pink-sand beach and stunning sunsets are on your holiday wish list, listen up. Bermuda’s upscale Fairmont Southampton resort has kicked off a
99-hour sale with rates starting at $99 a night for a "moderate category"
room. With regular rates for the same category starting at $219, the deal translates to a whopping 55% discount. Other room categories are also on sale; a deluxe oceanview will set you back $199 a night (regularly $309), which works out to an als0-respectable 35% discount.
Set atop the island’s highest point, the 593-room Fairmont Southampton boasts six restaurants, indoor and outdoor pools, 11 tennis courts, an 18-hole golf course, spa, water sports (scuba, snorkeling, sailing, fishing), and a kids' club for ages 5 and up.
The promotion is valid for travel from January 1 to April 30, 2010, but you need to book by December 20. The fine print: There’s a three-night minimum, the sale rate is pre-purchase and non-refundable and, as always, there are some blackout dates.
