The Horseshoe Bay Resort, northwest of Austin in Texas’ Hill Country, makes a surprisingly persuasive argument for embracing Texas’ summer heat. The 385-room resort is comprised by a Marriott hotel plus a complex of villas and condos all sharing four pools, a sand-beach lake, golf, spa, and kids club. For the rest of this summer the resort is also offering a new trio of solid packages:
- Midweek Special: Arrive on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday for a three-night stay and get the fourth night free (rate code: SUM)
- Pay for Five & Stay for Seven: Get two nights free when you pay for five nights. This deal is only for the condos and villas, whose regular rates can run run the gamut from $200 to $900 in August (rate code: SWK)
- VIP Summer Special: Get a $100 resort credit on a two-night stay and an extra $50 for each additional night. The credit can be used toward the kids' club, dining, spa, watersports, or the resort’s three championship Robert Trent Jones, Sr. courses (rate code: VIP Special)
The most accessible deal is probably the midweek special. When we checked dates, we were impressed how a Monday arrival knocked the regular $199 rate down to $119. The packages are good through September 6 and can be booked onine or by calling 877/611-0112.
