Good deals are like swimsuits: Different styles flatter different situations. Take Wyndham’s all-inclusive Viva Wyndham resorts, which are letting the Kids Stay Free this summer. Visit between June 1 and August 31, and the resort will waive the fee for up to two kids 12 and under. Granted, the under-12 rate is just $30 a night, but if you have two kids and stay seven nights, that adds up to a beautiful $420 in savings. You’ll still pay the all-inclusive rate for adults, which starts at $179 per person a night. Don't step out of the dressing room just yet. You could also try on the 4th Night Free package good at the Viva resorts through the end of 2009. Which is the better deal? Depends on how long you’re staying. If staying just four nights, a family of four would save $444 when booking the "4th Night Free" deal but only $240 using "Kids Stay Free." That same family would have to stay at least eight nights for "Kids Stay Free" to be the best bet, when it delivers a savings of $480. In other words, if you're staying seven nights or less, opt for the "4th Night Free" deal.
The eight Viva Wyndham resorts—with locations in the Bahamas, Mexico and the Dominican Republic—offer a solid array of activities, from watersports, dance classes and nightly shows. Best of all, its kids' club (for ages 4 to 12) and teen club are free and feature archery, beach volleyball, windsurfing, tennis and poolside games.
Right now, when you book online, you don’t need to punch in a promotion code. But to make sure you get your deal, your best bet is to call 877/999-3223 and ask for the "Kids Stay Free" (good through August 31) or "Getaways ByRequest—4th Night FREE" package (good through December 31).
