How low can spring and summer Alaska cruise prices go? Norwegian Cruise Line is offering a seven-day Alaska cruise at prices starting at $349 per person in an inside cabin (less than $50 per day!) and from $499 per person in an outside cabin with a balcony. Kids (third and fourth berths) can sail for $99 each. To nab these prices, book by May 6 for summer sailings.
Now for a reality check. This sale allows a family of four to snag an outside balcony on a seven-day sailing for $1,196, but keep in mind that these prices do not include Alaska's $50-per-passenger tax as well as other miscellaneous taxes and port charges. Figure that a family of four will pay at least $300 in taxes and fees above the sale price, bringing the actual spend into the $1,500 ballpark. Even so, this is a wonderful opportunity to take an Alaska cruise in high season for a fraction of what it would have cost a year or two ago.
