Attention shoppers! Grab your calendars. This is turning into a week of blowout sales at historic luxury hotels, and the savings are enormous. On Monday we posted about the 72-hour sale at The Homestead in Hot Springs, VA, which is going on right now and offers a 3rd night free. Yesterday we posted about the 72-hour sale at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, which begins tomorrow and offers a 50% discount on all rooms, suites, and cottages through the end of the year.

Today the historic Jekyll Island Club Hotel on Jekyll Island, Georgia, has announced its own 48-hour sale, to take place next week on Thursday, April 30, and Friday, May 1. Guests who book on those two days will receive a 50% discount on stays through November 24. Formerly a retreat for millionaires, the Jekyll Island Club is now a family-friendly resort (see our review) offering classic resort activities—golf, tennis, swimming, croquet—plus kids' programming and fun but low-key adventures just off the grounds.
