Sitting around the campfire at an Ontario waterfront cottage, under a starfilled sky, sharing stories, songs, laughter, and toasting marshmallows. Smelling woodsmoke and seeing the moonlight on the water and hearing crickets and bullfrogs nearby. Total bliss!

Well, we just got back from the Disney cruise, and I'd love to be back, sitting by the adult pool, reading a book with my 3 year old in kids club. But, my parents also have a beach house, and I'd take that as well, sitting outside on the beach b/c it's snowing buckets right now.

Sitting on the beach at Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica. We would body surf and tan and then walk to the little fruit bar on the beach to have cold coconut juice and some freash shrimp ceviche. The we would watch the sunset!

Going to St Augustine Beach with drinks, food and charcoal grill. Laying in the sun, making food on the grill and just relaxing for the day. Take a walk on the beach and look for treasures. You never know what you may find.

I love taking a boat out on Lake Erie near Put-n-Bay, cutting the engine and having a picnic lunch on the boat. While I don't have a boat of my own, my friend does and I love taking a spin out on the lake. While I don't swim or water ski, I've been known to throw a line in the lake and do a little fishing (provided someone else skewers the worm and removes my fish for me).

I'd be in Bangkok in the shops with my family, having a great time healping the economy there. The people are just so kind and generous, that they explain where the items were made and how they were crafted.
You feel like you're making friends along the way, and you are.
HMMM ..an hour in Bangkok shopping would lift my spirits and their economy.

I would strap the cam to my head ad let it take in the view of skiing (or crashing) down Okemo Mountain in central Vermont. Woo hoo!

March 3. 2009 20:28
We've been aching to get back to Moab, with its red rocks and too warm hikes, especially since it would be our daughter's first trip there. Our 60 minutes might find us meandering along the red rocks, imagining prehistoric times, sitting in the shade of geologic wonders or relaxing at Miguel's Baja Taco post hike. Or maybe we'd just be lounging in front of our tent preparing to rinse off our dusty feet.

I mostly travel to fencing tournaments. I'd use it to film the fencing.

March 4. 2009 14:32
Froliciking on a beach in Hawaii somewhere, letting go of all of lifes daily stressess. My children would be able to enjoy the weather and beautiful water, that we can't get here in TX. Within that hour we would definitely take some time to enjoy a family picnic on the beach.

March 4. 2009 18:32
We would hunt for Petoskey stones on the shores of Lake Michigan at the Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor. It's a little slice of heaven in Michigan at the end of August. Maybe marshmellows on a found stick over a fire and my husband playing guitar, while the sun dips into the water and the boys play catch.
Deborah
March 5. 2009 01:23
After visiting hot springs, and taking a dip in a rushing waterfall, we would watch the stars come out at our campground while we enjoy a raging fire and near silence in the desert.

March 5. 2009 02:55
We'd be on the beach in Florida...the white-sand side. And the boys would be engrossed in building sand castles. Under a big canopy that doesn't threaten to blow away. And they're not hungry or tired or possessive of their sand toys. And I'm in a beach chair. And hubs is beside me. And I have my laptop there and he doesn't mind.
That there is a perfect hour.
Christine
March 5. 2009 12:55
We would be camping in Custer State Park in South Dakota. Smelling the crisp, clean air. Watching the stars at night. Watching my boys run around the wide open spacies and smiling as they marvel at the wildlife.
Janene
March 5. 2009 13:18
Walking around and exploring the grounds of the Atlantis Paradise Island resort, just soaking in the view and watching feedings, relaxing. It's so beautiful there, 60 minutes would fly by.

March 5. 2009 13:23
Last year my husband of 19 years and I were finally blessed with a daughter. Everything has become an adventure and we don't take a minute of it for granted! I would use my 60 minutes to show our beautiful girl walking (a newly learned skill) on the pristine white sand beaches of Florida's Gulf Coast and taking her first dip in that clear blue water.
Maricia
March 5. 2009 13:44
I would take the grandchildren down to the beach and search for jelly fish, crabs, and let them put their feet in the ocean

March 5. 2009 14:08
Aha! 60 glorious minutes riding our mountain bikes as fast as we could from our campsite in Fort Desoto State Park to the North Beach at Ft. Desoto. Where we proceed to make sandcastles, see manatees, and record our memories on the flip video.
Amy
March 5. 2009 14:36
We would be in the front yard, the kids would be riding bikes and playing with their friends. My wife and I would be sitting in the sun, sipping a beverage and just doing nothing but letting the kids have FUN! It is all about the kids.
Ed
March 5. 2009 14:43
A perfect 60 for me would be with my husband and son in Stumphole Landing, SC far from the real world.Taking my seven year old boating on the lake and river I grew up on would be magical for me. Showing my son the places the stories resonate from in my South Carolina childhood. He should see and know those clay banks that Native Americans and I knew. Dig in the sand for arrowheads from another century. Romp in the playground of my youth where I learned to revere nature. Some other summer I hope...

Seeing my daughters face light up at Disney would be the greatest gift ever All the excitement, entertainment and fun rides!! I want to spend time as a family and enjoy laughter and good times. Soon she will be a teenager and want to be with her friends all the time.
Emily
March 5. 2009 19:36
Our 60 perfect minutes would be on a cruise ship to the Caribbean. I would be watching my daughter come down the slide, singing in the talent show, or choosing from the buffet line. It doesn't matter which 60 minute segment from our vacation I pick... as long as I'm with her, it's perfect!
Angela
March 6. 2009 09:00
My boyfriend and I are active scuba divers. I would love to be able to video tape our dives so we can share our adventures with our nondiver friends. My dream 60 mintues would be 2 dives to an incredible wreck site in the South Pacific. Viewing the downed planes and sunken ships in those waters really drives home the intensity and violence of the wars fought in this part of the world.
Heidi
March 6. 2009 09:07
We are going to Disney World for the first time with my boys. It would be priceless to video their first interactions as they experience the magic of Disney. Nana and Papa will also be going with us. They are the ones that started me on my Disney visits growing up. It will be fun watching it on all of these levels, especially as we celebrate my son's 2nd birthday party at The Crystal Palace.

March 6. 2009 09:43
We have four boys, ages 10, 8, 5, and 3. We would go to our favorite ice cream shop by Newport Beach. We each buy our favorite slush. It's half shaved ice and half soft serve vanilla with our favorite flavor (mine is coconut). We then sit on the beach and enjoy, each of us getting messy with our ice cream. When are bellies and faces are covered in syrup we race to the beach and wash off. While my wife and I are reposed on a blanket, we watch our kids dig for sandcrabs. When they have collected a dozen crabs or so, we then proceed to build a castle for our little creatures and watch as they try to escape! We have done this many times and we never tire of it.

Life just gets better and better with my 2 year old. My husband and I are amazed at how quickly time goes by. Our favorite vactions are beach vacations. We can easily spend 60 minutes watching the "baby" dip his toes in the water and giggle as the waves hit the shore.

Hi! We will be leaving for a family trip to the Bahamas in six weeks on a cruise and I would have a lot of 60-minute opportunities to use the flip. I would probably choose the time that we visit the private island and spend the day swimming, hammocking, snorkeling and playing in the sand!
Marla
March 7. 2009 15:47
After having tried for two years (my husband and I are young so I have no idea why it took so long)but were blessed with a very special baby girl. Having lost my mother when I was 2.5 years old I cherish every minute with her and try my best to make the best memories for her and my family. With this new camera (which we truly need) I would take tons of pictures with my husband and daughter being silly and having fun on the beach of Hawaii hoping to make long lasting memories in case something were ever to happen to me.

March 7. 2009 17:07
We would love to spend 60 minutes anywhere in Europe. We could be at the Eiffel Tower, in the Louvre, on the beaches of Normandy, at the Keukenhof or Madurodam in Holland, in the Black Forest, in the Alps...geocaching, hiking, biking or sitting at a cafe and having coffee and spaghetti eis. Yep, any of those would work for us!

March 8. 2009 05:33
St. Petersburgh at sunset, my family and I sat at the beach waiting to see dolphins swim by. I will never forget the look on my daughters face when she saw a "mom and baby" dolphin. She said that it's nice that even baby dolphins get to cuddle with their mommies before they go to bed.
Maria
March 8. 2009 06:29
I'd spend the hour at Kamaole Beach Park 2 with my hubby, the baby and my 6 year old. I would sit in the beach chair listening to the baby nap (ahh - he sleeps so peacefully when we are at the ocean) and watch my son and hubby snorkeling and boogie boarding. Then it would be my turn to snorkel while hubby sat with the baby. And finally we'd all make a sand castle together before heading across the street to get espresso shakes and fruit smoothies.
Heidi
March 8. 2009 07:10
We don't really have a spot, we go somewhere different everytime, which isn't often. I would choose to be at the beach where I grew up, just past Labor Day weekend, air and water still warm. We are on horseback galloping through the waves. At the end of our ride, we dismount and have the best Italian meal this side of Italy, all fancy, set up at the beach with a symphony orchestra playing madly in the background. Yes, that will do nicely!
Laurie
March 8. 2009 07:18
One perfect 60 minutes would be watching the kids excited about learning something new on vacation. Whether that is catching their first blue crabs on Edisto Island, SC or learning to ski at Bryan Head, Utah. Just seeing their eyes dance and the thrill sprinkled with new found confidence makes my day.

60 minutes: TV Off. Screened in porch, temp about 60 degrees F...fireplace. Family there, no one needs anything, dishes cleared...We sit and talk about what we've done, what we are going to do. Stories get told. Then we play games until we laugh so hard we cry.

Best Family Time from Triplet Mom: A Poem.
60 minutes of best family time,
What better way than to say it in rhyme,
Triplets have we, hapa-haoli girls,
More fun than anything in this world.
The best times we have are out in the waves,
Paddling is our new found family craze,
Checking out turtles while paddling around,
Fun, sun and family - the best thing we found!
We just love the water - a great part of our trip,
And capturing smiles and splashes would be ideal with a mini FLIP!
Aloha, Dana

Grabbing the first cup of coffee of the morning and bounding down private stairs of our rented beach house (joyful dogs in tow) to a deserted stretch of sand. Then taking an hour, or three, to stroll through the surf and explore the tide pools of a gorgeous Sonoma County beach on the Northern California coast.

March 9. 2009 13:15
We would spend those 60 minutes on a beach in Kaui, of course we'd need lots of sunscreen. But my son wouldn't think it was boring to spend an hour on the beach in Hawaii, and you won't hear any complaints from me.
Carolina
March 9. 2009 14:44
We'd spend 60 minutes playing in the ocean at Hilton Head Island with our sons. That's where we went before our youngest son was diagnosed with cancer, and we'd sure love to be able to take him there again sometime! But we now realize that 60 minutes spent with him anywhere is truly a gift.

We would take a one day trip near our home in Md. We have discovered that you can be more spontaneous, and just jump in the car whenever you want to experience something new.

March 10. 2009 23:35
My family will be vacationing in Disney World in May. My perfect 60 minutes would be filming my five year old grandaughter's first encounters with the characters as they will be completely real to her. It would be a thrill to have her first expressions and conversations on video, to look back at as she, and we, grow older. This is a wonderful gift and whoever gets it will FLIP for sure
Thanks for the chance to win it.

March 11. 2009 00:46
We would spend our 60 minutes at Houghton Lake playing in the water, building sandcastles, fishing, then grilling hot dogs. Oh just because its the "perfect" 60 minutes...there would be no bugs, water would be warm, and no sunburns.

March 11. 2009 08:36
My best 60 minutes as a family on vacation - doesn't matter where we are as long we are together - spending time together, listening to music and playing games together. Recently we rented a condo in Florida and it was awesome - we played board games at least 2 nights...Our daughter keeps asking if we can do it at home more often!

March 12. 2009 21:15
My kids love to vacation in Cancun. So, I guess a perfect hour on vacation with them would be spent on the beautiful beach in Cancun helping them build giant sand castles and watching them play in the waves in the crystal clear beautiful water.

It would probably go directly from my hands to my 17 yo daughter who would use it to record her adventures in SunRiver, Oregon.
Nancy
March 15. 2009 04:43
We would record 60 minutes of adventure at our favorite vacation place-Glacier National Park in Montana!!- 20 minutes during the breathtaking drive to our hiking spot on "Going to the Sun Road", then 20 minutes of videotaping the the most amazing sights during our hike to "Hidden Lake",15 minutes of singing songs at our campfire, and the last 5 minutes at sunset taping my husband slipping off to sleep while dozing on his beloved hammock and there we have it-a movie of our favorite place

I have 2 things that come to mind, so i'd have to flip a coin to choose what to do with my one hour ...
... run along the beaches of Hawaii (never been there and want to go)
Or ... an hour of jet skiing with my family - everyone - kids, aunts, uncles, mom, dad, etc.!
Wait, nevermind, it's an easy choice now that I type it. Jet skiing with everyone would be a blast!

March 18. 2009 09:57
My family and I are leaving the US on a vacation to Switzerland to visit my sister and her family. Before they moved, my 11 year old twin boys and her children were very close. We can't wait to get there and see amazing sights. I would use the camera to document our time together and document the amazing things we'll see.

Our family doesn't vacation every year but this year we are going to wildwood nj. Our 11 year old and 7 year old love it. I would spend the 60 minutes of them on the beach playing in the waves with each other and their father.
Karen
March 18. 2009 10:30
So far in our young family's lives, our perfect 60 minutes would have to be the last hour before the Disney Cruise leaves Castaway Cay. We're the last ones in the water, white sand and clear water all around us on a beautiful sunny day... taking pictures... laughing and swimming... then running back to the boat when we hear the horn... perfect!
Ed
March 18. 2009 10:50
Would love to spend time at Disney World with my family which includes my husband, children, grandchild and my Mom. My Mom,who is now too disabled to travel used to love our family trips to Disney World and I know she would love to see her Great Grandchild enjoy it.

Snorkleing with the stingrays in the caribbean with my 8 year old son who can actually talk while snorkleing and my 17 year old daughter whom it took some coaxing to even get in. But once we were in, it was wonderful. And after we actually caught a local lizard on the beach. Wish you could see the pictures. Great day!!!

March 18. 2009 11:03
We would build a fire in a place we love in VT - Pico and roast marshmellows and place games. The dog tries to eat the burnt ones and the kids barely cook there's so they can eat more of them! Everyone is happy - great family 60 minutes!
Katie
March 18. 2009 11:10
At the beach in Mexico! We love to build sandcastles, all three of us
Working together as a team to create new ones each time we try. We argue, we laugh and we marvel at our joint efforts when we're done. We started this when our daughter was very young and she loves doing it, to this day
Jenny
March 18. 2009 11:10
Me, my husband, and our two boys would be riding our bikes at Bethany Beach Delaware - going into town to walk on the boardwalk in the early evening, then going down the steps to put our feet in the cool sand, and then getting some ice cream - with sprinkles!
Amanda
March 18. 2009 11:11
We love to go to the beach! We visit the same house every year that is right on the ocean. After a leisurely breakfast we head out to the waterfront and sit and watch the waves until we are brave enough to dive right into them! It is a wonderful time to be with our family and hear the sound of laughter from our kids!

March 18. 2009 11:14
My family's favorite vacation spot is Walt Disney World--particularly Epcot. We would spend 60 perfect minutes (eek...just 60 minutes...) sipping some free soda at Club Cool, walking back to the Mexico pavilion to ride "El Rio Del Tiempo"...er, whatever that ride's called now...and watching Illuminations to end the night.
Heather
March 18. 2009 11:15
My husband, myself and our two girls would be sitting by the campfire with our dog on a starry Vermont night at Lake Champagne Campground. A truly unspoiled place with no gimmicks, just plenty of sky and trees.
Karen
March 18. 2009 11:25
I would take my new flip on my next cruise out of NYC. The excitement on my kids faces as we first hear the sounds as our ship pulls out of NY Harbor and the band plays NY/NY as we pass the Statue of Liberty. Everyone stands on that side of the ship and tears come to many eyes as we pass the greatest symbol of our country. It gets me every time! Then the party begins and we stop in a new destination/country every day.

March 18. 2009 11:25
Sitting around the campfire at Cedar Haven Cottages on Lake Leelanau. We roast marshmallows, make s'mores (kids have to have one every year until they remember they just like the marshmallow and chocolate). Watch the stars and listen to the sounds of the lake. Of course this trip always involves my extended family so they're always laughing and playing with some of their cousins.
Jess
March 18. 2009 11:26
Our favorite vacation spot is DisneyWorld. But many people have not discovered a place where you can roast marshmallows, make smores, lie out a blanket and watch an outdoor movie. That is just what we do at Ft. Wilderness when we need a chance to unwind from a hecitc day at the parks and spend quiet time together. Lying side by side, under the stars with chocolate lined mouths and smiling the whole time is a great moment for us.

Most family travel is simple if interesting to all.
What we love to do and would be great for the first 60 minutes of a visit to any city in the world..............
is to rent a car, with a GPS as a backup and having gone to the Auto Club or some other source to have a physical map and study it to get the lay of the land...........
and drive around and see what this town is like; the architecture, landscape, history, demographics and to see how other people live, interact, work, play and live as families, just like us in some respects, but differently as well.
Andy
March 18. 2009 11:27
It's a warm June afternoon on Kingfisher Bay in Lake Champlain at Vermont's Tyler Place Family Resort. After the adults and kids have their separate morning activities, the whole family gets together and jumps in the lake to cool off and play on the water slide and water trampolines.

March 18. 2009 11:33
60 minutes?! how about 6hrs, 6 days, 6weeks of adventure and fun. there is so much to show and do with our children in this incredible world--i guess i would have to go to our favorite spot-St. George Island and put in our kayaks and paddle out to the little hammock where bald eagles and great blue herons nest; have hermit crab races; find millions of sand dollars; pick up trash that has collected from the ocean; have a picnic! laugh and play! that is the ultimate 60 seconds!

March 18. 2009 11:38
There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on a 15th floor condo balcony on the beach (preferably Destin, FL or Gulf Shores, AL) watching the sun as it sets in the evening. You have to experience this at least once in your lifetime! It is absolutely one of the most beautiful things you will ever partake in!!

The last two summers we have spent some time at Woodloch, which your site promoted as a fabulous place to enjoy special times with the family, as indeed it is! We would love to use this Flip Video Ultra to capture our grandson fishing along with his Dad and Pop. Last year was the first time he ever caught a fish and it was so exciting. We hope he will catch an even bigger fish this summer and it would be fantastic to use the Flip Video Ultra to record his success. It would also be fun to use the Flip Video Ultra to film our granddaughter making like a mermaid in the pool. That would probably add up to 60 minutes but maybe we could even squeeze in some time for catching the older kids doing what they do best...making time spent together memorable in every way!

On Poipu beach in Kauai, absolutely...some snorkeling then just listening to the waves, soaking up the sun. Later some fresh fish at Brennecke's. Aaaaahhh!

March 18. 2009 11:44
Two works (and an ampersand): Turks & Caicos.
Sitting by the bright blue water streching out to the horizon, listening to the light lapping of the surf against the sand. Watching as people drift in and out of the water while our daughter plays in the sand with some new-found friend. Then all of a sudden, someone spots JoJo, the adopted dolphin mascot of Providenciales. Grab the Flip and wade out to the water's edge while JoJo swims in closer to take a look (and a smile). Then wave down a catamaran and follow him out to the coral reef for some snorkling in the warm carribian waters.

March 18. 2009 11:44
My 60 minute perfect vacation moment would to be with my children ziplining in Puerto Vallarto Mexico. I would love to capture their faces and excitement as they experience something so different and yet so fun and outside of their comfort zone. Too see their reactions to the introduction of a new culture and to capture the beauty of the landscape while we zip high above the jungle floor. That is my AMAZING vacation moment.
Tracy
March 18. 2009 11:45
We'd spend 60 minutes filming a walk on the beach in Grand Cayman, where we'd count starfish, collect shells, hunt for crabs and hermit crabs, search for baby stingrays, and watch the many schools of minnows swimming from the needlenose fish.
Liz
March 18. 2009 11:46
Our last vacation I was 8 months pregnant and did not enjoy it too well. I would love to actually wear a bathing suit without a large baby bump.
Actually being able to walk with my children down the beach without feeling like a large beached whale.

My daughter and I traveled to Jamaica many times in her preteen and teen years and now that she is married and has children of her own it would be such fun to return to the Rose Hall in Montego Bay with her and the children and relive our memories while floating down the lazy river.

Last summer, we spent a month on the Hawaiian Islands and a week on Kauai. 60 minutes with the sun on you and listening to the sounds of the beautiful Pacific Ocean, whether we were laying on a beautiful beach or biking along the ocean or just watching my 3 kids play in the water, all of this is my ideal way to spend hours and hours

My Husband and I are going to Disney World in June. I have never been there at the ripe old age of 31. I would have my Husband video record me meeting Mickey, Minnie, and especially Goofy. When I was about 6, some friends asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up and I said "Goofy". My husband, me and our 3 boys would take it on our first trip to Disney World! So much to see down Orlando-way
We would certainly catch the kids in their excitement at Sea World and Universal Studios, too! They can't wait - and neither can we. We'd love to be able to cherish those memories for years to come!

Our family's favorite vacation spot for the past 30 years or so is Edisto Island, SC. And now, my brother and I get to bring our own kids to this lovely place. My perfect 60 minutes would include my daughter, niece and nephew playing in the water and on the beach, and my 18-month-old son discovering the ocean and throwing (but hopefully not eating!) sand everywhere.
Laura
March 18. 2009 12:04
29 minutes relaxing on tropical island sands, holding hands with my beautiful wife - 30 minutes enjoying every second with the kids - 1 minute to myself to figure out how to use the Flip so I can rewind 60 minutes and capture a memory not to be forgotten...

I would be on Longboat Key beach with my kids - playing in the sand & body surfing. We could play for hours & hours!

60 minutes....I would film my family at play on a perfect summer evening when we are all happy and relaxed. My 8 year old and 3 year old wrestling, my husband of 14 years joining in the fray, just the ultimate happy silliness of life captured for 60 minutes but treasured now and forever.
Karen

We love it down here in south and would probably head to Destin Beach, FL and enjoy a relaxed day at the beach playing in sand and surf! The guest houses are great price and for under $200, we can spend a relaxed weekend and enjoy family time playing at the beach, going to local parks and museums and just playing games at the house~

We'd be in Kauai, snorkeling, shell-hunting and playing in the sand on the beach. Then we'd go for lunch in Hanalei and have some fresh fish and Hawaiian shave ice.

My daughter and i have never been there but i am thinking that since we both love the beach so much and love disney so much, that the Disney Resort in Vero Beach would be heaven for us, the Disney Cruise also sounds wonderful. she and i would walk on the beach and look for shells, or i would just love to watch her interact with the disney characters, and laugh. at night we could look wish upon them and share our dreams.

March 18. 2009 12:57
I would love to take my kids kayaking on the Monterey Bay. We would paddle around the pylons of the pier and check out the harbor seals resting there. We would see if we could examine a starfish up close. Maybe, if we were really lucky we would catcha glimpse of a sea otter. I'm sure that the kids would have fun waving to the people on the sail boats.
Kayaking is just such a fun way to excercise as a family. It would be great to capture that moment on film.

I would take endless videos of my kids cause i had not had a video in over 7 years and my oldest is only 9.

Although we have never done this, I would love to take my 2 1/2 year old to swim or see dolphins and other sea animals. She goes WILD when she sees them on TV so I can only imagine what she would do if she saw them in real life! That would be something we would DEFINATELY to video tape!!
Linda
March 18. 2009 13:41
Our 60 perfect minutes would be spent in Pitlochry, Scotland. There is a B&B there with the largest picture window in a private residence in all the UK (the Chadwicks are amazing hosts). We would hike the trail along the Tummel and Garry rivers and the Pass of Killacrankie. It is especially amazing in the early fall when the leaves are changing.

March 18. 2009 17:28
Our family loves Mexico... the perfect 60 minutes would be walking down the paseo in Playa del Carmen, stopping to get helados (ice cream) for our 6 and 4 year olds, a bucket of cerveza (beer) and limes and heading down to the beach. We'd lie back on Bali beds, in the caribbean breeze, watching our kids play in the surf while ice cream drizzles down their chins.

My husband and I enjoyed our 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii, and after visiting Pearl Harbor, we went to Diamond Head and climbed to the top. It was an effort, 99 steps, then 74 more steps, climbing along the outside of the volcano, took about an hour and a half, climbed through a WW II bunker, but the view of all Waikiki Beach was unbelievable. We can't wait to go back and see more of all the islands. Two years later and I still relive the moment when we stepped out to see the view. Would love to win the lottery and move to Hawaii, but till then, living in New Jersey, we want our children to see the beauty in Hawaii with us.
Colleen
March 18. 2009 18:33
I would let my 11 and 12 year olds use it to see what intrigues them. They amaze me with their creativity! We could go to the beach, skiing, anything, and they always come up with details that otherwise go unnoticed by adults- proving we're too busy and worried about unimportant things! I might actually get to appear in a video for once! It'd be nice since there are very few pictures of me and no videos since our old video camera is heavy and complicated to use! Thanks!
mary
March 18. 2009 18:49
That's easy! The best way to connect with our kids is to body surf with them in the Outer Banks, NC. Then when they're all tuckered out, to plunk down on the sand and get our creative juices flowing by building a sand castle - complete with town and roadways. It's fun, safe, healthy and relaxing all at the same time. Can you imagine what a great video this would make?

I would spend 60 beautiful minutes in the Disney pool with my son teaching him how to swim, how to dive, and hold his breath underwater then watching him take off all by himself. Then watch from the side as he shows off his "new moves."

We are trying to go to Disneyland this year. It will be the first time ever for my boys, ages 3 and 7, but also for my husband age 38. I know that we will need way more than 60 minutes of video for the whole trip but this would be a great item to have! I am so excited for all of us to experience this together.
Rebecca

My two beautiful kids are adopted from Guatemala. We are planning a trip to Guatemala where they will see again their beautiful country. My twins 6th birthday is in June along with our 1st year anniversary. We are taking our children to Disney World for the first time as a family vacation. I would take videos of the twins as they meet the characters for the first time as well as their expression on their faces as we come into the parks. It will be magic for them to experience this moment.

My younger sister is getting married in Disney World this year. My daughter is 5 years old and is in love with all of the Disney Princesses, so we are going to have a blast, visiting the parks and spending time with family that is in Florida for the wedding (especially because we all live in NY!).

I would be fishing in a cold trout stream in Montana, far from the madding crowd. As I fished, I could look up at beautiful mountains or watch dippers, beaver, deer, chipmunks, etc. I would savor the peace and tranquility of the setting and enjoy the sounds of nature.

60 minutes would be the perfect amount of time to pull my mom's car into a beach along the main road in Maui, strip down to my swimsuit, flip flop to the trunk to get a couple of chairs and a cooler filled with peanut butter sandwiches and cold drinks, settle into an empty cove to ourselves and watch the sunset with my husband, my two sons, and my mom and step father.

With an active duty Air Force hubby, we've yet to have a chance to take our 16 mo DD on a family vacation! We are expecting our 2nd this summer, so I'm dreaming of a fall getaway to upstate NY....lots of neat colors for the baby to look at and piles of leaves for our toddler to romp in with Daddy!

If we only had 60 minutes on Block Island, we'd probably spend 40 minutes on the beach, and 20 minutes in the stores in town. But there's a chance we'd try to do the other 10 things we love too.

I would spend 60 minutes (at least!!) doing something new and exciting. When we are on vacation we like to take in as much as possible. Having a Flip would make it possible to capture all of our adventurous moments with ease!

March 19. 2009 20:25
My husband and I are historic reenactors and we have the privilege of spending two weeks every summer at a reenactment encampment. One night every year there is a midnight market day, where all the vendors are open late into the night, and there are street entertainers and music and hundreds of friends that we only see for those two weeks each year. If I have to pick my ideal 60 minutes those minutes are it: completely transported from the modern world, surrounded by friends and festivity, and watching our soon to be three year old son take it all in.
Thanks for the site and for making the Flip available.

March 19. 2009 20:47
Our perfect 60 minutes will be returning to Disney and satisfying my 6-year-old son's dream of riding all three mountains at Magic Kingdom. He has ridden Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain repeatedly, but he hasn't talked his two older siblings or his parents into riding Space Mountain before. Space Mountain's refurbishments should be complete before our next trip and we hope we will be up to the challenge
Deborah
March 20. 2009 04:28
We would be on the beach at Cape Cod, building sand castles, catching fish and other creatures in our nets, or floating in the inflatable raft the kids love.
Rachael
March 20. 2009 05:16
I would love to film my 22 month old as he explores the beach at Tybee Island, Georgia. He delights in everything he sees and I think he will be impressed by the ocean and the beach. The way his eyes light up and twinkle and the way he experiences everything with such an open heart and spirit. Being his Mom is the most amazing thing I could imagine and I would love to record not only vacations, but all of the everyday moments, too.
Glennen

Lisa
March 20. 2009 09:26
Since before I could walk my family and I have been making trips to Rocky Point Mexico. I can still remember the challenges we faced navigating the sand streets with our 5th-wheel trailer and crew cab truck. The city has changed a lot, but it's still one of our favorite getaways.
My 60 minutes? It would be spent just off shore in our old Portaboat. Mom would no doubt be relaxing on the beautiful white sand beach (oh the joys of sea sickness) sampling the vendors wares and looking for beautiful ironwood carvings while my Dad, my brother and I lazily fished. As part of the ritual we would pause intermittently to trade our fishing poles for snorkels while enjoying fantastic visibility, vibrant sea life and the warm, salty waters of the Sea of Cortez.
Alex

Our favorite place is Disney World and I could easily come up with a way to spend 60 minutes! Meeting characters, riding rides or just watching the people - it's all wonderful.
Nancy
March 20. 2009 09:54
We love to travel and explore new places but there's one place we return to every summer that we just love. It's a little fishing village in the south of Sweden called Hallevik. There, we take long walks along the Baltic, eat fish every day and play and hang out with family and friends who all gather around the barbeque in the evenings. We love the fresh salty air from the sea, the long summer nights of Scandinavia and the carefree and close-to-the-nature atmosphere.
Maria

every moment is a treasure ... it would be great having the pocket-sized flip video in my purse ready for moments to be captured ... as they say "a picture is worth a thousand words!"

My favourite holiday spot is not very exotic. My aunt and uncle have a lake house in Hot Springs, Ark. While we have taken more far-flung trips, summers spent at the lake provoke deep and lasting memories. This year we have a new baby in the family and the oldest is almost old enough to have summers taken up with sports and camp. This is the perfect summer to capture movies of all of us together. I would spend 60 minutes cruising the lake with each kid "driving" the party barge.

I can't think of a specific place that I love to visit, but anywhere that is away from the house for a bit is a nice change. Getting a chance to enjoy nature and read a little would be the best.

March 21. 2009 08:49
I would take my 7 month old daughter down to Virginia so she could spend some time by the water with her 3-hour older NBC (non-biological cousin), and I would capture every moment of them playing with each other.

March 24. 2009 03:03
60 perfect minutes with my 2 great kids and funny husband would probably be spent on a snow covered mountain in Colorado. We love taking videos of eachother skiing and playing in the snow. Hearing them laugh and giggle and having so much fun is what life is all about. But capturing it on video to share with family is (as Mastercard would say) priceless...
Amanda

While I might love to film 60 minutes of us frolicking lakeside in the Poconos, I'm sure my son would rather film his brother and cousins creating their own world in the woods along the Lehigh River. There the leggy wild rhododendrons become an entire city inhabited by these creative children.

March 24. 2009 07:30
We don't get to go on vactions often, so we take day trips mostly. I would LOVE to capture 60 minutes of video of my kids at Knoebels Amusement Park! My son has autism and loves seeing videos of himself, and it will be my baby girl's first trip there!
Thanks for the great giveaway!

March 24. 2009 08:42
I would record for posterity as much action as I can while taking our 2 boys (12 and 7) to Disney for the first time in June. Hopefully I will be able to minimize any time spent arguing over who's first in line, who get's to sit with their mother and any other nagging that most parents go through!

March 24. 2009 08:44
We would use this cool camera to document this wonderful place in time with our 8 1/2 and almost 7 year old girls and two rambunctious dogs! We would take it to the ocean, the mountains, to the country and the city! This camera would be so useful! We don't have a video camera and have very little video of our kids. This would be a huge ASSET to our family!!

Last year we spent the afternoon at a smaller waterpark. It was so much fun! This year we plan on doing the same thing. I would love to catch 60 minutes of my children going down the waterslides, or going through the fun water challenge course. Whenever my children are around water they are happy. I can hear the giggles and see the smiles now! That would be incredible to have on video...forever!

My family of 5 is headed to Disneyworld for my 3 year-old's first trip. Watching 3 kids and transporting all of their gear is difficult. Having a light-weight video camera is a necessity if we want to capture anything. Capturing his "firsts" there would be great...

March 25. 2009 06:34
Our favorite family trip is going to Folly Beach, South Carolina every summer over July 4th. My perfect 60 minutes would be leisurely boating through the salt marshes and seeing the unbelievable bird and marine life. We would then dock the boat near the lighthouse and go looking for shells and little crabs. The kids would bring their stash back into the boat in their little pails for sorting back at the house. We would finish the hour by attaching a tube to the boat and letting the kids laugh and scream the whole way back.
Jill
March 25. 2009 09:24
We'll be doing this "perfect 60" at least once -- and maybe a few times -- this August: Our favorite way to end the day at Walt Disney World.
First, a stop at Boulangerie Patisserie to pick up chocolate mousse (for my son and myself), a napoleon (for my wife), and some water. Then a casual stroll to the Japan pavilion, where we hang out and chat while enjoying our desserts and waiting for the start of Illuminations.
After enjoying the greatest nightly fireworks display anywhere, we casually stroll around World Showcase Lagoon (the long way, so that by the end we're almost alone in the park), and then out the International Gateway to our room at the Beach Club Villas.
The best part? Walking hand in hand with my 10-year-old. The end of the night at a Disney park is the only place that he's still willing to walk hand-in-hand or with my arm around his shoulders while in public. Priceless!
Mark
March 25. 2009 10:00
We'd use it just in everyday stuff. The best memories are unexpected and it would be wonderful to be able to capture those moments as we go on with our everyday things.. Our son is just a joyous ball of energy and we are constantly on the go with him!

My family is now my daughter, SIL, GD and soon-to-be-born GS. I think we would like to be outdoors--either cool beach or mountains--just hanging and enjoying BBQing.

I would spend this when we go camping. The kids always love to fish and sing so this would be perfect to capture that on video. Thanks for the chance.

We'd be lounging on the beach in Naples, FL. Hubs and I would have a daquiri while the kids play in the sand (hopefully without tasting it!)

My perfect sixty minutes of vacation would be on our sailboat at Centre Island...drinking cool drinks and watching the sunset behind the Toronto skyline

My perfect 60 minutes would be at the beach with my wonderful family. Laying down on the white sand and listening to the relaxing sound of waves crashing at shore. And who wouldn't want to miss the beautiful sun set behind the deep blue ocean? That would be perfect flip video footage. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I just love being with my kids and my husband when we don't have anywhere to go...no schedule to keep...no driving around the city...like going to Myrtle Beach in the summer when there is no cares just sitting on the beach and enjoying the sun with the only decision being what to eat for dinner. We would spend the whole 60 minutes laughing and playing and loving each other while we are all together as a family.

I would spend 60 minutes with my kids on North Myrtle Beach's sand. We would share stories, splash in the water, relax in the sun and most importantly be together at one of our very favorite locations.
