Ski, stay, eat, and more at Stratton for $99 a day

Just four hours from NewYork City and less than three from Boston, Stratton Mountain Resort is more accessible than many of Vermont’s other marquee ski spots, and in recent years it’s ramped up its family appeal in a big way.  Its family ski and snowboard programs (with lessons for kids as young as 4) consistently earn rave reviews, and there are more off-mountain activities than you can shake a snowshoe at (even mini-snowmobiling for kids 6 and up). But as with all ski trips, this brisk-air fun usually means shelling out big dollars for lodging, lift tickets, equipment rentals, and so on.

Luckily, Stratton is running a great deal that takes the sting out of sky-high prices. With nightly rates starting at just $99 per adult, the “Inn-clusive” package bundles a room at the Inn at Stratton Mountain with a lift ticket, continental breakfast, lunch, and rentals. The savings are significant. Considering that a midweek adult lift ticket normally runs $70, this is like getting your room, two meals, and rentals for just $29 extra. More good news: Kids 17 and under sharing a roomwith Mom and Dad can get this deal for $35 a day; you can add on a lesson orchildcare for $49 more.

And now for the fine print: This deal is good for the duration of the Stratton ski season, but only on midweek and non-holiday stays, so you have to be willing to pull your kids out of school for a few days.
