If you've been mulling over a holiday getaway, two resorts in the desert Southwest of Arizona have just put a great deal on the table—but you have to act fast to nab it. The two Pointe Hilton Resorts, Squaw Peak Resort and Tapatio Cliffs Resort, are offering a "72-Hour Holiday Special." Book a minimum 72-hour (a.k.a. three-day) stay that includes either Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day and you can snag a suite for just $72 a night. Both mountainside resorts offer heated pools, championship golf, and kids' camps. And an annual average 300+ days of sunshine means the chances are good that you'll see some nice weather, too. Each of the properties is making 72 suites available at the special rate. The catch? There's a 72-hour window to make the reservations, and you have to pick up the phone to do it. Call 800/876-4683 between 10am on Wednesday, November 12 and 10am on Saturday, November 15, and ask for "Plan Code P7." There's some fine print to the deal, so make sure you ask about the cancellation policy and other details.

Thanks so much for this great deal! I was literally seconds away from booking this exact hotel for $129 (which seemed like a great value for an all suites resort) when I saw your post. We waited until morning, called, and scored 5 nights at the $72 dollar rate -- that's a savings of over $250, enough for a VERY nice time at the spa.
