Is it any wonder why kids love slumber parties? The pillow fights, the snuggling, the movies, the popcorn.  The Omni San Diego Hotel is offering a "Family Slumber Party Package" now through December 31. The hotel has got a lot going for it: a location in the heart of San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter (it's attached to PETCO Park, home of the Padres baseball team), and there's the obligatory pool.  In addition, the "Omni Sensational Kids" program offers up kid-minded amenities, including suitcases filled with games and books, a goodie bag at check-in and kid-approved menu choices.  But is this a good deal?  Pull up a bean bag chair as we crunch some numbers.  For $499, the package includes: 

• two nights in a "luxurious" room (at regular rate, $520)
• daily full breakfast for two adults and two children (worth about $50)
• valet parking for one car for two days (worth $60)
• one in-room movie (let's say, $10)
• popcorn and soda for four (we'll call it $15)  

 Purchased separately, this slumber party for a family of four would cost $665—so the package price translates into a 25% discount.
