 Does spending a night in castle rank high on your family's wish list? The Fairmont Banff Springs—dubbed "Canada's Castle in the Rockies"— has unveiled a Family Castle Adventure Package that includes accommodations (there's a two-night minimum stay); milk and cookies on arrival; one night of an in-room movie and pizza; family bowling; passes to the Banff Gondola; self parking; and gratuities. There's plenty to do outside, including interpretive hiking trips for all abilities (even the youngest of knights and ladies). Grab a picnic lunch and head along scenic 1A Highway to Lake Louise, or take a gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain. The package is available year round, subject to availability. Rates start at $352 CAD (about $330US) a night for a family of five.
